Al is a Life Member of TREA. He joined TREA in 1995 as an MAL and transferred to Chapter 65 in Kenosha, WI in 1996.  In 1998 he became a charter member of Chapter 90, Chicago, IL and has served as their Chapter President since 1999.  Al was first elected to the National Board in 2006 as a Director.  He was elected as 2nd VP at the 2008 National Convention, and re-elected at the 2009 Convention.

Al served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 1967 until retirement in Sept. 1988.  He has an Associates degree in Business Management. 

Al is also a member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve Assoc. and American Legion Post 771 as Finance Officer.   

Al and his wife Sandy, reside in Waukegan, IL.
