Ed Cates is a member of Chapter 1 in Colorado Springs, CO, where he currently serves as their 1st Vice President. He previously served as Secretary and Director. He stays actively involved in Chapter activities, including Bingo, JROTC Program, and Chapter Building Committee.

This is Ed's first National office, although he served as Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.

He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Air Force from November 1965 to February 1996.

Ed and his wife, Irmgard, currently reside in Colorado Springs, CO.
