Dave is a member of Aurora, Colorado Chapter 3 where he served on their BOD from 1993-98. He chaired their Bingo Committee in 1993-94, the Newsletter Committee in 1992-93, and served as their President in 1994-98.

Dave actively participates in senior, homeless and abused women's charitable organizations by serving annual holiday meals and contributing financially. He also volunteers his time at the Rocky Mountain Eye Institute and the University of Colorado Medical Center.

Dave is a graduate of Columbia College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration Management and a Minor in Police Science. Dave also went through NCO Preparatory, Leadership and Senior NCO Academy. He also has an Associates Degree in General Studies and is a graduate of the North Bay Peace Officer's Academy.

In his 26 years in the Air Force Dave served as a Security Police Supervisor with assignments in Germany, N. Africa and the Philippines, among others.

Dave is the Past Master of the Acacia Lodge #12 and belongs to such fraternal organizations as The American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Police. Currently Dave dedicates all of his time serving on TREA's National Board.

Dave resumed the duties of Immediate Past National President after the deaths of Pat Corbett and LeRoy Riddell.
