Dear Student:
You should complete your application carefully and completely. Incomplete or illegible applications will be returned.
You must have dependent status as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. Adults or emancipated children are not eligible.
You must have a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent who is a member in good standing of The Retired Enlisted Association or TREA’s National Auxiliary or a deceased TREA or TREA Auxiliary member in good standing at time of his/her demise. No exceptions will be made.
Applicants will be required to write a 300 word essay on the following topic and send it with your completed application.
"How has the world economy affected your goals in obtaining a higher education?"
3. TREA’s National Scholarship Program deals with YOUR future plans, personality, background, and even community involvement. These are but a few of the factors considered by our Scholarship Committee members in granting awards. In order to obtain a scholarship, you as prospective applicants, must “Get Out There and Go for It.” Please do not hesitate to call this office if your have any questions regarding this application.
