Pat lived several years in Denver, Colorado, and was actively involved in Chapter 39, where he served as Director, 1st Vice President and President of the Chapter.

Pat was first elected to the National Board in 1999 as a Director. Since that time, he has worked his way up the chain, and is serving his second term as the National President.  He has chaired every committee at some point, in addition to several AdHoc Committees (including contract review, grievance, and disciplinary). While serving as National 1st Vice President, he had the opportunity to represent the President on several occasions, when called upon.

Pat relocated to Bellefonte, PA in 2004.
